Sprint king Bolt achieved a “triple-triple” by anchoring Jamaica to a runaway gold in Friday’s 4x100m final, but was then asked about the possibility of being stripped of one of his medals.
He combined with Asafa Powell, Yohan Blake and Nickel Ashmeade to lift gold in a time of 37.27 seconds.Bolt signed off with a statement which represents his unbelievable personality. “I’m going to stay up late and have fun”, said Bolt, who lingered on the track after his lap of honour, kneeling down to kiss the finish line amid chants of “Usain Bolt, Usain Bolt” echoed from the stands.
Speaking after his victory on Friday, the star said: “I’ve worked hard every Olympics to win three gold medals”. Canada took home the bronze medal with a national record of 37.64.
And on Thursday he clinched the 200m title by finishing ahead of Canada’s Andre de Grasse. The United States finished in third place, but were disqualified for an illegal baton change. I’ve gone through a lot of stress, but I will definitely miss the sport and miss the Olympics.
Bolt, who said at the start of the week that he would be an “immortal” if he claimed the ‘triple triple, ‘ had no doubt that he deserves more acclaim. Following his 100m triumph at London 2012 he celebrated by partying in his room with three members of the Swedish women’s handball team, tweeting a picture of the four of them together. “It’s mixed emotions that I am going through right now”. “It’s just so many special feelings I’m feeling”. “It’s been wonderful and I really appreciate you guys”.
On Monday, Bolt reclaimed his 100 metre Olympic title after winning the final in 9.81 seconds.
Bolt will now set off a year-long victory tour that will culminate with the World Championships in London next August.
“Not much. I think Usain did one session and the rest of us did two sessions for the entire year”. It’s happened. I am just happy, proud of myself.
Asafa Powell, who ran the opening leg of the relay, said he was thrilled by Bolt’s accomplishments. “We’ve each had a rocky road to get here, and we came together to win the gold”.
The word “impossible” does not exist in the Word of world’s fastest man, Jamaican Usain Bolt.

“I’m just happy and relieved”. “As soon as I got the baton, I knew I was going to win this one, because there is no one on the anchor leg that can outrun me”, said Bolt, who will be celebrating his birthday on Sunday.
