Jeremy Corbyn to spell out ‘transformative’ arts vision
The shadow chancellor asked why action had not been taken against Labour peer Lord Sainsbury, who has given the Liberal Democrats more than £2m during the European Union referendum campaign or donor Michael Foster over an article referring to “Jeremy Corbyn and his Nazi stormtroopers”.

But Corbyn reacted angrily to the suggestion and said the referendum had taken place and delivered a result, which was not the one he wanted but it had to be respected.
The compliance unit is working through applications to check whether the 180,000 new registered supporters who signed up to take part in the vote are eligible, or if some are members of, or public advocates for, other groups.
“John, just to clarify you say “party officials”.
Allies of Jeremy Corbyn are furious at what they see as attempts to tilt the leadership contest by purging the party membership of his backers.
“I am writing to Labour’s general secretary, Iain McNicol, to demand that members and supporters who are suspended or lose their voting rights are given clear information about why action has been taken and a timely opportunity to challenge the decision”.
He told the audience of Labour members at the SECC he was “gutted” by the vote to leave the European Union, and reiterated his willingness to call for a Parliament to approve the decision to trigger Article 50.
The Labour leader said that while the result of the European Union referendum was not one which he wanted, the vote had to be respected. “I have not been given the opportunity to refute any allegations, or a date for any hearing”, Draper said in a statement.
Meantime, Mr Draper said all he had been told was that the disciplinary action was related to an “unidentified tweet” he had posted and he believed the move was arbitrary and politically motivated. He has confirmed he is seeking legal advice to challenge the ruling.
Last month, Ms Turley told the Gazette she would be supporting Owen Smith “because my constituents in Redcar desperately need a strong and effective opposition leader to hold this Tory government to account and I believe Owen is the person to do it”.
A question mark has been hanging over the annual gathering after G4S said it was now too late for it to step in and organise protection arrangements for the four-day conference, which begins on September 25.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is to set out a “transformative” vision for the arts as he continues his campaign in Scotland.
