Adams passes final class at EWU, officially off to Oregon
Adams passed a math test Thursday in Eugene – the last hurdle in his transfer from Eastern Washington. He accompanied the post with a photo of himself in his cap and gown holding his son.

As a graduate transfer, Adams is eligible according to NCAA rules to join the Ducks as early as Friday and compete with redshirt junior Jeff Lockie for the starting job that opened after the departure of Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Marcus Mariota to the NFL.
I talked with Bralon Addison today, who has worked out with Vernon in non-official capacities before, and says he thinks he would be a good fit for this offense.
The star quarterback needed to complete his undergraduate coursework specifically, a final math class to transfer from Eastern Washington.
He added the last time he texted Vernon was last week, saying he didn’t want to add any extra pressure before he took his final.
In three seasons at Eastern Washington, Adams passed for 10,438 yards and 110 touchdowns, with 31 interceptions at EWU.
Adams now has less than a month to prepare for his first game with his new team.

Adams originally intended to finish school in the spring and join Oregon for summer workouts, but he did not pass the required math class on the first go-around. “But everything happens for a reason, right?” Oregon finished the season ranked No. 2. But he was still working toward his degree when fall camp opened for the Ducks on Monday. And now Adams has a few weeks to catch up to Lockie. Those were nice finishing “counterpunches” to what overall was a good day for the defense, UO coach Mark Helfrich told the Ducks after practice. “It’s kind of like leadership”. He also helped the Eagles upset Pac-12 team Oregon State two seasons ago and almost beat Washington previous year. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article. Again, we will know later tonight if he will finally be a Duck.
