Clinton now holds 10-point lead over Trump, 51 percent to 41 percent, among likely voters in a two-way race, the Quinnipiac University poll finds. “I have been asked many, many questions in the past year about emails and what I have learned is that when I try to explain what happened, it can sound like I am trying to excuse what I did”.
Clinton will appear at Truckee Meadows Community College in her first visit to Northern Nevada since the February caucus. This speech suggested that there is a way to do all of the above.
She also said she believed Trump was “healthy as a horse”.
“The Clintons’ made the State Department into the same kind of Pay-to-Play operations as the Arkansas Government was: pay the Clinton Foundation huge sums of money and throw in some big speaking fees for Bill Clinton and you got to play with the State Department”, Trump said at a campaign rally Monday night in Akron, Ohio. She has contrasted Trump with former Republican presidential candidates John McCain and Bob Dole, and former President George W. Bush, praising their decisive steps to counter racism and anti-Muslim sentiment.

“It is now abundantly clear that the Clintons set up a business to profit from public office”, Trump said. Instead, she offered a strident denouncement of Trump’s campaign and the so-called alt-right movement, which is often associated with efforts on the far right to preserve “white identity”, oppose multiculturalism and defend “Western values”. She said the foundation had provided “life-saving work”, adding that neither she nor her husband had ever drawn a salary from the charity.
“My work as secretary of State was not influenced by any outside forces. And we have gone above and beyond most of the charities that I understand, beyond the legal requirements, beyond standards, to voluntarily disclose donors, and also to reduce sources of funding that raised any questions, not that we thought they were necessarily legitimate, but to avoid those questions”.
In his Akron remarks, Trump, struggling to broaden his support beyond the white working-class voters who have been his base of support, again urged blacks and Hispanics to give him a chance, saying: “What the hell do you have to lose?” repeating a line he delivered on Friday that was criticized by Clinton as “ignorant”.

“This type of rhetoric and repulsive advertising is revolting and completely beyond the pale”, Mark Burns, an African-American pastor who supports Trump, said in a statement.
