“I’ve always said throwing a club shows you care”. After a three-putt, Daly finished with a septuple-bogey 10 on the hole, dropping him well down the leaderboard as he missed the cut.

He did confirm, however, that he will play in next week’s Wyndham Championship event on the PGA Tour as he continues to rebuild his game. But it was some way off his worst single-hole score – an 18 at Bay Hill in 1998.
Daly provided a highlight reel video after a disastrous hole No. 7 at the PGA Championship. That’s when it all went downhill. He hit three tee shots into the lake to the right of the par-3 seventh hole. Daly went down to a 6-iron and got the same result. The third try was no different. And then his second.
Either way, can’t say I blame Daly for getting angry. “I know it’s not the right thing to do”.

Daly’s season is likely over.
He also walked off the course in the middle of his opening round at the Australian Open in November 2011 after hitting six balls into the water at the 11th hole.
As for the rest of the round, Daly said, “Your body goes into a little shock after that”. A short while later, the club was fished out of the lake by a boy on a boat, who triumphantly held up the club upon retrieving it.

“I’ve actually got to make some money to pay some bets this weekend, ‘” he said.
