Pulisic, 17, has enjoyed a meteoric rise since he graduated to the club’s first-team and made his debut midway through last season.

Just 17 years old, Pulisic was born in the United States, but headed to Germany to take a spot in Borussia Dortmund’s youth ranks in 2015.

The Premier League club has made a substantial offer for the US national team midfielder, Bild reports. The reigning Bundesliga runners-up added Mario Gotze, Andre Schurrle, Ousmane Dembele and Emre Mor this summer to an attacking midfielder/winger group that already included Marco Reus and Shinji Kagawa, meaning Pulisic has talented, more experienced players to contend with as he searches for minutes. His father, Mark, told Bild last week that “Christian has no interest in leaving” Dortmund.

Pulisic, a Pennsylvania native, made his US senior team debut in March and came on as a substitute in three games during this summer’s Copa America.
