What is inside the Android 7.0 Nougat Update? It also features OS level security tweaks like memory protection and attack surface reduction. Both devices are built by HTC, and as per BGR, they will arrive with a cool feature that would enable them to update seamlessly and instantly, without the need of restarts and app optimizations.
HTC previously announced which of its non-Nexus devices will be receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update this year. Currently, any users running either the fifth Developer Preview or the official release of Android Nougat must enter their lock screen pin or password before they can reply to a notification. 90 days is generally considered a pretty decent timeline for a manufacturer to get a new major Android release out after it hits Nexus devices, and that seems to be about what we’re looking at here.
With so many additions for users to get to grips with, many will be wondering when they’ll be able to get their hands on it. What’s changed is that it is now fuller and fills the screen completely. What’s being called “Night Mode” allows a user to turn the settings menu dark instead of having to keep it bright white. A Redditor has already noticed a proliferation of Android 7.1 builds floating around.

If that’s not enough, one more person who offered details recently about the upcoming Nexus phones confirmed the news. With its support for Google’s Daydream platform, “Android Nougat is ready to transport you to virtual worlds with Daydream-ready phones, headsets and controllers – all coming later this year”, he said. Now when a handset’s or tablet’s screen has been off for a certain amount of time, Doze will run and start to do its thing.
