Paris Saint-Germain will offer France midfielder Blaise Matuidi a new deal in a bid to end rumours around his future at th Parc des Princes.

Matuidi’s current deal runs until 2018 and he is expected to extend it by a further year.

Italian champions Juventus are closing in on the capture of French global midfielder Blaise Matuidi, as they look to continue reinvesting the money received from Paul Pogba’s move to Manchester United.

Matuidi, 29, was a member of the France squad that reached the final of Euro 2016.

But I’d be surprised if Man United signed him having already completed a deal for former Old Lady midfielder Paul Pogba in a world record transfer fee.

PSG have insisted all along they don’t want to sell the player, but reports say the Ligue 1 giants could be willing to accept €40m – a price Juve feel is too high.

“We’ve exchanged a few emails and I think we are in a position where we can wrap that up in the coming days”, he said.

Blaise Matuidi could very well be seen honing his skills in Serie A with L'Equipe reporting that the midfielder is close to completing a move to Juventus
