Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Europe’s Best Player for the second time after beating Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann to the 2015-16 honour.

“As I said on the stage, he [Griezmann] deserved to win this trophy”, Ronaldo told the media after collecting his prize.
However, Ronaldo disagrees with Griezmann getting the accolade.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has admitted in an interview with the Uefa official website that last season was the best of his career, as he won the Champions League crown with Real Madrid before helping his national team conquer Euro 2016.
The announcement was made following the Champions League draw, with Ronaldo pipping teammate Gareth Bale and Atletico Madrid striker Griezmann to the award.

“We won the Champions League and I was topscorer and that was probably one of the best seasons in my career. They deserve it too because they play unbelievable, they did a fantastic year”, he said. “I’m positive we are going to win again”.
“I hope to win the Ballon d’Or but let me enjoy first this trophy”.

Ronaldo led Portugal to a win at the Euros and also won the Champions League trophy with Real Madrid.
