“It’s unbelievable to me how many people have no idea who Hillary’s running mate is or Donald’s running mae, they just don’t know”, says Joplin resident Mike Pence. The visit to Pennsylvania highlighted the state’s increased spotlight as a crucial swing state in the presidential election, with national experts saying its 20 electoral votes could determine the victor.

“When Donald Trump becomes the next President of the United States his own special interest will be the people of the United States of America”, Pence said.
Bucks County has been identified as one of 25 counties in the country that could set the election’s outcome, Pat Poprik, Bucks County Republican Committee chair, said. “Individuals who have committed crimes in this country are gonna go, and they’re gonna go very quickly, to be processed by a justice system and out of this country”.
“He’s going to bring real trade reform”.
“Pennsylvania’s front and center”.
When in Congress, Pence repeatedly praised free trade deals and as governor he expressed support for the Trans Pacific Partnership, a trade deal between the United States and 10 Pacific rim nations.
“Pennsylvania looms large this election”, Pence said in Bedminster. It always has and it always will, but it’s especially true this year.
Much of Pence’s speech also focused on security.
“The choice could not be more clear”.
Pence said he was grateful the crowd came to see him despite the weather.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her running mate, Tim Kaine haven’t visited the county since the convention.
“Nobody is above the law”.
“He asked me if his speech was too long and I said no”, said ten-year-old Elizabeth Nutley. “If you cherish our Constitution, if you cherish limited government, if you cherish the freedoms that are enshrined in our Bill of Rights… freedom of speech, religion, the right to keep and bear arms… you better think about that real hard”. That change would include tax cuts across the board and economic recovery, he said.
Pence derided what he said was a media too focused on “every little thing Donald Trump says”.
“Well, its been a bit of an ego boost for me and I enjoy the confusion says Joplin’s Mike Pence”.
Pence said foreign trade is important, but is now balanced against American manufacturers like the Leland company. Pence noted that Obama’s “weak foreign policy”, specifically his pull out of troops before Iraq had been ready, left a vacuum in which ISIS was able to organize and grow.
“We need to stop apologizing to our enemies and abandoning our friends”, Pence said.
State Republican Chairman Jeff Cardwell says the party will hold its third fundraiser for Trump next month.
“Pence and Trump are the only team that can make this happen”. He speaks his heart. “He understands the frustrations and the aspirations of the American people like no one in our lifetime since our 40 president, Ronald Reagan”.

The campaign faces two opponents, though, he intimated. “We ended things early for him with our huge primary victory and we’re adding to the “Trump Train” daily to make sure we bring home the early win on November 8″.
