Tom Brady returned to the New England Patriots on Tuesday, and the quarterback kept a tight lip for why he received an excused personal absence while also explaining his scissors mishap that prevented him from playing against the Chicago Bears last Thursday.

Hang on for a minute.we’re trying to find some more stories you might like.. Garrett says Bryant was held out of the rest of that practice and will not play Thursday night at Seattle. Things happen that are unexpected, and (Garoppolo) has been prepared for that since the day he got here. “I’m preparing like I’m gonna be the starter”. Since he became the starter in the 2001 season, there has been just one preseason in which he hasn’t played a game, in 2008.

While not directly rebutting Green’s famous rant, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick doesn’t believe you can glean a ton from the third preseason game. I want to get out there with my teammates.”. You get to the opener and start to get to game-planning and scheme, I mean you’re in a totally different ballpark, in my opinion. “We’ve obviously got to hit the film and practice tomorrow and get better”. The Patriots have been Brady’s team for some 15 years.

“It took a few days [to heal]”, Brady said. He’s very knowledgeable of the game, controls the offense totally, and that’s something I try to do.

As that clock winds, so too does the one ticking toward the start of Tom Brady’s four-game “Deflategate” suspension.

Garoppolo is clearly the most talented backup/next Brady the team has ever had, and although he’s no “Tom Terriffic” (who is?), he can be an National Football League starter somewhere. I feel like that’s what my job and responsibility is to be out there with my team. You just have to go about your business the same way. As for if he wants to play in Friday’s preseason game at Carolina, Brady said, “Absolutely”. “I wanted to go and coach said its probably best if you — for what I was gonna to go out and do — just take it easy.

Although he’s not sure if he’ll get the start or how long he will play Friday (7:30 p.m.; Ch. 4), Garoppolo said he will continue to prepare as usual.
