Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is trying to keep the peace with Daniel Sturridge, after the frustrated striker complained about being played out of position.

Mane returned to the starting line-up for the EFL Cup second round clash against Championship outfit Burton Albion last night, and he was sensational.
After the encounter at Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday, he revealed discontent at not being fielded through the middle.
“What will happen we will see, I don’t know in this moment, but we do not have a preferred position to sign players”. I’m on autopilot there.
“When you are playing in a position that you are not used to, it is different”.
“Out wide, it’s different”. It’s just a different way.
“I have to do a job for the team”.
“I’m happy that I don’t talk in situations like this”.
Sturridge has voiced his frustration at being asked to play on the right in two appearances this season rather than a more natural central role.
The German is determined to build a positive team atmosphere at Anfield in which players are willing to makes sacrifices for the good of the team.
“The only thing a player can do is work as hard as possible, to perform to their best ability in each session and then the manger has to make a decision”.
But the manager was quick to quash any discontent, assuring Sturridge his preference wasn’t to play him out wide.
“It’s not a fixed position, especially not in Daniel’s case”.
“There is absolutely no problem”.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists there is no greater expectation on his side to win a trophy due to their lack of European football. The England global was replaced by Divock Origi after 65 minutes of a rather ineffectual performance and Klopp stressed that he does not wish to utilise him exclusively out wide. “When you think we finished with a couple of teenagers and a 20 or 21-year-old, you could train with them for a couple of seasons and not gain the experience they’ve got tonight”. It’s flexible football, passing movements, patterns, and all these things. And you need enough players in the box to then finish this off.
