The political party of Dutch far-right politician, Geert Wilders, has pledged to close mosques and ban Islam’s holy book of Qur’an amid growing Islamophobic sentiments in the European country.

Titled “Netherlands is ours again”, the 11-point manifesto was shared on social media. But I do have a problem with immigration from Islamic countries. By banning some of the key tenets of Islam such as the holy book of Koran, mosques, Islamic schools, head covering and denying entry to Muslim migrants by securing borders.
Wilders’ party also supports holding a Brexit-style referendum for the Netherlands to leave the European Union.
Anti-refugee sentiments have also swayed regional and national elections across Europe in recent years.
Sybrand van Haersma Buma, leader of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party, branded Mr Wilders’ plans “utterly freakish and unbelievable”.
Numerous parties have said they will not go into coalition with the Freedom Party.
“The PVV is also calling for spending to be increased in the areas of policing and armed forces while they want ‘no more money for foreign aid, windmills, art, innovation, public broadcasters.’ Wilders” plans have been described as ‘utterly weird and unbelievable” by the leader of the Christian Democratic Appeal, Sybrand van Haersma Buma who is Wilders main rival.’The program will further polarize Dutch society, ‘ he said.
In 2009, Wilders was banned from the United Kingdom on public security grounds after his film “Fitna” branded the Koran a “fascist book” and linked it to terrorism, causing much controversy.

On the back of Europe´s migrant crisis, opinion polls have for months given Wilders´ PVV the edge over the current coalition parties of the Labour Party and the People´s Party for Freedom and Democracy led by Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
