Brahumdagh Bugti, president of the Baloch Republican Party and the grandson of Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti who was killed in an encounter with the Pakistani army 10 years ago, also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recently raising concern over the situation in Balochistan.

In an event which could leave Pakistan red-faced, Baloch people in Leipzig, Germany today raised Indian flag and protested against the country.
Pakistan had dismissed claims that its forces were responsible for the killing and abduction of the Baloch people.
“The Advisor said the worldwide community; especially permanent members of the UN Security Council and the European Union have an important role to uphold principles of human rights and global humanitarian law”, the radio report quoted Aziz as saying. “People of Balochistan, Gilgit and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir have thanked me a lot in the past few days”, Modi said.
With Indian prime minister having uttered the “B” word and Pakistan having responded in whatever way it thought best, the challenge for Pakistan remains that Balochistan never gets equated with Kashmir in worldwide diplomatic circles ever, the way Modi wants it.
Mr Bugti said PM Modi’s recent remarks during his Independence Day is the “most powerful statement” in the last seven decades. “We request all human rights organisations, European Union, United Nations, USA, Canada, Australia to raise their voices for Balochistan and the Baloch people”, said the activist.
While regretting “the refusal from the Indian side” to hold talks on Kashmir, Aziz also briefed the ambassadors over the exchange of letters between Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry and his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar.
“This will also send a larger message to a region which is deeply troubled by the policies that emanate from Pakistan”, Jaishankar’s letter said.
While Pakistan continues with its Kashmir agenda, PM Modi has brought the spotlight on Balochistan once again.
India is ready to engage with Pakistan for a “result-oriented dialogue” that seeks to end cross-border terrorism and early vacation of “illegal occupation” by Pakistan of Kashmir territory, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said here on Friday. “We want to solve this with peaceful means”, he said.

Stating that his immediate course of action would be to create awareness in the worldwide community, Mr Bugti, at the same time, also called for military assistance to the Baloch freedom struggle.
