Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho indicated to out-of-favour midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger on Friday that there will be no place for him at Old Trafford this season.

“We have a decision completely made about (Paul) Pogba, (Ander) Herrera, (Morgan) Schneiderlin, (Marouane) Fellaini and Michael Carrick (Schweinsteiger’s fellow central midfielders)”.
Speaking at his Friday press conference, he said: “I think it’s very hard to happen”.
“I like Cameron very much but he is going to Wolves to play”.
The idea of paying up the remainder of the German’s contract has been discussed by United chiefs and not been rejected out of hand.
Mourinho was confirmed as Louis van Gaal’s replacement in July following months of intense speculation, but former Spurs player Jermaine Jenas insists it was Pochettino who the United hierarchy most coveted.
“Bastian is not speaking a lot, apart from the one statement he has made. I think he deserves the job”.
