Donald Trump campaign chairman quits after two months
In response to the Trump campaign’s ouster of chairman Paul Manafort, the Hillary Clinton campaign is demanding that the Republican nominee discloses his Kremlin ties to USA voters. Trump went on to say he appreciated Manafort’s work on the campaign and wished him great success.

Embattled Donald Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort resigned yesterday – capping a week of dramatic changes for the Republican presidential nominee as he seeks to regain his footing against Democrat Hillary Clinton ahead of the November election.
Trump’s Russia connection became too hot when his campaign chair Paul Manafort’s ties to Ukraine’s pro-Russian government were exposed.
This week’s news indicated that Paul Manafort received nearly $13 million cash from ex-President Viktor Yanukovych’s pro-Russian party between 2007 and 2012. Paul Manafort and his deputy, Rick Gates, never disclosed their work as foreign agents as required under federal law. “I have done that”, he said, drawing a chuckle from the crowd.
Paul Manafort resigned as chairman of Donald Trump’s USA presidential campaign on Friday, Trump said, days after the Republican candidate effectively demoted him in a leadership shakeup aimed at boosting his struggling White House bid.
The Washington Post is reporting that Manafort will remain on friendly terms with the candidate and the campaign and will be tapped for advice from time to time.
“One thing I don’t think Trump will tolerate is the focus being on someone else rather than himself”, said an anonymous GOP strategist.
A Trump rally Thursday night revealed hints that Trump may be heeding the advice of party leaders and insiders to shift his tone – something Manafort had urged.
Manafort’s resignation comes after a campaign reshuffling that many saw as a demotion.
Handwritten ledgers, unearthed late last week by Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau, revealed previously undisclosed cash payments of $12.7 million apparently intended for Manafort.
Mook also challenged Trump to “come clean on his own business dealings with Russian interests”.

Sean Spicer, the RNC’s chief strategist and communications director, will “be spending more time” with the Trump campaign, newly installed campaign manager Kellyanne Conway said on ABC’s “This Week”. And as, traditionally speaking, polling trends tend to lock in after Labor Day, the Trump campaign only has about two weeks at the outside to flip the script. “You can get rid of Manafort, but that doesn’t end the odd bromance Trump has with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin”.
