“ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in NY does now have an open investigation”, a DHS spokesperson told Variety.
After Wednesday’s hack, celebrity friends and fans, including Katy Perry, Alyssa Milano and Ghostbusters director Paul Feig, took to social media to show their support for Leslie. “In order to protect the integrity of the case, no further details are available at this time”, Rachel Yong You, an ICE spokeswoman, told Reuters.
That editor, Breitbart.com columnist Milo Yiannopoulos, said in statement Thursday, “I’m distressed to hear that Leslie Jones has been hacked and naked pictures of her have been posted online”.
“@Lesdoggg, no one deserves this-least of all someone who brings us so much joy”.
The “Ghostbusters” star temporarily left Twitter in July after exposing the racist and misogynistic tweets sent her way.
The American actress, who was part of the all-woman line-up in this year’s remake of Ghostbusters, called on Twitter to take more action against online trolls last month.

During the Rio Olympics, for which NBC flew Jones to Brazil, the comedian defended gymnast Gabby Douglas, who was criticized for her hair and not placing her hand over her heart during the American national anthem, among other things. “You know I’m gonna stop blocking so y’all can go through my feed and see the bs”.
