Early voting schedules for the fall elections remain unresolved in at least one-quarter of North Carolina’s counties following a federal court ruling that struck down key portions of the state’s 2013 voter identification and ballot access law.
However, Democracy N.C. and other voting rights advocates plan to attend and monitor the State Board of Elections as it takes up all county early voting plans, Hall told The High Point Enterprise.

A leader of a statewide group concerned about limitations on early voting said it’s not likely that the State Board of Elections would reject plans approved unanimously by county elections boards, such as the one in Guilford County.
It was unclear why Knight chose to submit her own plan, and she did not return an email seeking comment.
“The plan, as a whole, does cover the county fairly well”, she wrote.

Reams said the two new plans would be submitted to the state board by Thursday’s deadline.
