Rashford rescues Man United with late victor
Though Fellani played all 90 minutes, United’s medical staff discovered he had a back injury after the game, which United won thanks to Marcus Rashford’s injury-time victor. Manchester City, who have two wins from two games, face West Ham on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho said that substitute and match-winner Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United a “diversity” in their football during their 1-0 win against Hull City and predicted that the 18-year-old will play “a lot of matches for sure”.
Rashford scored in the second minute of added time at the end of the game, 20 minutes after coming off the bench, to seal victory.
“We play now with a second man behind Zlatan (Ibrahimovic)”, Mourinho continued.
“We believe until this last minute and this is a sign of a team that want to win”, said a bullish Mourinho, in an interview with BT Sport. “They were waiting to give everything and we are playing different football now”. “I knew that from last season but working with him every day I think the same”, said Mourinho after United’s 1-0 win against Hull. The goal caused the whole United bench to jump to their feet in delight, as Rashford headed towards the away fans in celebration.
United were frustrated in wet conditions by Hull’s dogged defending before the 18-year-old Rashford struck by converting Wayne Rooney’s cross. “He is different to [Wayne] Rooney and different to Zlatan [Ibrahimovic]”.
Mourinho has clearly been impressed with what he has seen of Rashford so far, but insisted his striker’s match-winning goal will make no difference as to how and when he will use him this season. The next match for United is at home on September 10 against Manchester City, whom the striker scored the victor against in a 1-0 triumph the last time the clubs met on March 20. “I know when you score (in) minute 90-something, you talk of a bit of luck”.
“I have to analyse”.
Mourinho said: “I said to the players at half-time that, in training on Wednesday, they were more intense than in the first half today”. ‘You are not going to drop another player when they are doing well. “To keep a clean sheet is very important to increase our confidence in the work we are doing”. “We can start some matches with a player in front of Zlatan”.

“It is disappointing for the players, they have put a serious amount of work in to get to a point where they think they have a result”, Hull caretaker manager Mike Phelan said.
