Fire in Leavenworth; Evacuations in place
Fire officials are battling an estimated 400-acre fire near Leavenworth.

Nash said two air tankers, one air attack plane and two helicopters were working the fire at that time and would continue to drop retardant and water until dark. More crews are en route to help, including seven wildland fire strike teams.
