The band on Wednesday announced shows scheduled for September 16 and 17 at The Roxy in West Hollywood, California.
As Cooper explains, the Hollywood Vampires was formed to pay tribute to the late rock stars who were members of an informal drinking club of the same name with Cooper during the 1970s, who used gather to drink at the Sunset Strip club the Rainbow Bar & Grill in the early “70s”.
Now, returning to where it once began, the HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES will perform two shows at the iconic SUNSET STRIP music venue, THE ROXY – their only U.S. appearances – on SEPTEMBER 16th and 17th.
Joining the Hollywood Vampires live on these dates will be Matt Sorum on drums, Duff McKagan on bass, Tommy Henriksen on guitar and Bruce Witkin on piano and guitar. Tickets go on sale Friday (August 14).
After that, they’ll be heading down to the Rock in Rio festival in Brazil on September 24th. “I would walk in on a typical night, and John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon, Bernie Taupin, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz would be there”. Prior to the show, the band will pair with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to provide more than 150 hearing-impaired people with hearing aids, then bring a number of those people to the show so they can hear music for the first time in their lives. The Hollywood Vampires live again with the release of the Hollywood Vampires new album.
