Ryan Lochte charged over Olympics drama
Jeff Ostrow, Ryan Lochte’s attorney, told CNN he has not heard from Brazilian authorities.

LochteGate continues. Now that U.S. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is back on American soil, one would think his problems with the Brazilian police would be over, right?
Unspecified further action is expected to the taken by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC), while the International Olympic Committee have already opened a Disciplinary Commission.
Lochte originally claimed that he and three teammates – Gunnar Bentz, James Feigen and Jack Conger – were coming home after a night of partying when their taxi was pulled over by men pretending to be Rio police.
The swimmer later amended the details of his story and apologised for his drunken account.
The swimmers allegedly vandalized the bathroom at the gas station and were confronted by security guards, not robbers. Brazil and the United States have had an extradition treaty in place since the 1960s, but whether or not the USA government would comply and extradite Lochte if he is found guilty remains to be seen.
Top sponsors such as Speedo and Ralph Lauren this week abandoned Lochte.
Police and Lochte’s teammates subsequently said that he had committed an act of vandalism at a petrol station and became embroiled in a dispute with employees, who had demanded compensation.
Mr Feigen agreed to donate almost $11,000 (£8,300) to a Brazilian charity to resolve the case.
Lochte left Brazil shortly after the incident. He has not travelled outside Brazil for more than a year to avoid being arrested by USA authorities somewhere else.
During what should have been an all-around historic Olympic Games for Team U.S.A., Lochte has made them all about himself.
Lochte originally described the August 14 incident as an armed robbery, telling police and media that he and three teammates were robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Olympics.
Meanwhile, after losing his four major sponsors this week, Lochte has picked up a new one for Pine Bros. Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops signed the 12-time Olympic medalist for print ads and a television commercial.
