Paul Pogba delighted with debut victory for Manchester United
Jose Mourinho has revealed how a phone call to Marouane Fellaini transformed the midfielder’s flagging Manchester United career.

“We are becoming better and better”, added Ibrahimovic.
United took the lead in the 36th minute thanks to a magnificent power header from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“When United signed Ibrahimovic, we were talking about the quality that he brings, the hold-up play, the flicks but we didn’t talk about these sort of headed goals, these typical English centre-forward goals and he’s scored two of them already”.

“He was fantastic”, said Mourinho of the France worldwide. Sometimes you need players to fill in for you but I don’t see why he can’t do that. “And the fact that his first action was bad, losing an easy ball, giving a counter-attack to the opponent, a direct free-kick to the opponent, you can see the ego and the personality is so comfortable under that skin, as a star he is so confident how he plays. I couldn’t be happier with him”.
United host Southampton in their second league game of the season and defeated their guests 2-0. Pogba felt that during the “first 20 minutes we started very slowly” but as the game went on the team improved a lot.
“If you’re going to win the league you need someone who’s going to score goals and he might be the one to provide the goals”.
The midfielder received a warm welcome on his comeback, but his nerves still got the best of him early on as he lost possession on his first touch of the ball to set Southampton on their way.
Pogba, 23, missed United’s 3-1 win at Bournemouth last Sunday due to a suspension carried over from last season’s Coppa Italia, but his lack of match fitness meant he was unlikely to have featured anyway.
“I need September because all these guys need to play, they deserve to play. I know we will do big things this season”.
Luke Shaw’s enterprising foray into opposition territory drew a penalty from a very clumsy Jordan Clasie, and Ibrahimovic sent Fraser Forster the wrong way for his second of the game.

“That’s what I’m saying, I need September because the relation can be good, the players can be good professionals, they can feel I trust all of them, but when a player doesn’t play one, two, three games, the frustration comes and it is hard to play well”, he explained.
