It proved costly too, as Rooney beat Ahmed Elmohamady down United’s left and teed up Rashford, who finished neatly to become the first teenager to score a Premier League goal under a Mourinho-managed side.

Following the match, Mourinho admitted the England global has been working really well for the side, the Mirror reported.

As United’s players celebrated Marcus Rashford’s late victor at the KCOM Stadium, away supporters rushed forwards in an attempt to get close to their heroes.

“I have to analyse”.

“They changed the dynamic of the play”, explained Shaw, referring to the introduction of Rashford and Henrikh Mkhitaryan midway through the second half. “To keep the clean sheet is very important and to increase our confidence in the work we are doing”.

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini looks set for an extended period out after manager Jose Mourinho revealed he picked up a bad back injury against Hull City.

Ehab Allam, one of Hull s owners, indicated in the match programme that a deal has been agreed to sell the club, without confirming the buyers, believed to be a Chinese consortium led by commercial property investors Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li.

Hull caretaker boss Mike Phelan is expecting a frantic few days before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday.

“This Man United team now is on a bit of a roll and they are strong, and strong in the depth they have got as well”.

Cardiff have accepted an offer from Hull for goalkeeper David Marshall, who will now discuss personal terms, and it is understood the Tigers have met Tottenham’s valuation of midfielder Ryan Mason, while further recruits in all areas need strengthening.
