Raiola: ‘Zidane wanted Pogba and Madrid is weaker without him’
It’s been a truly sensational summer transfer window for the Red Devils having appointed Jose Mourinho as manager, won the Community Shield and secured the likes of Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Today, Mino Raiola, Pogba’s infamous agent has opened up on the deal, delivering some fascinating details from the Frenchman’s storied return.
The controversial agent says Pogba told him after his Euro 2016 exploits with France that he always had his heart set on rejoining United, despite the presence of Zinedne Zidane at Madrid.
And Buffon, who played alongside Pogba in Turin, can see similarities between United’s new signing and Madrid legend Zidane.
Raiola made clear that, despite the flurry of media gossip and speculation, “at no time during the European Championships did we speak of the negotiations. It was understandable; mentally he was exhausted and pretty disappointed after losing the final”. “I had to meet him in Miami to explain him the situation”.
“He clearly told me what he wanted”.
“Jose Mourinho had already wanted to bring him to Chelsea last summer, but it was not the right time”.
“So the objective is to win the league. We want to go back to the Champions League because that is where we belong”.
