Burke already has four goals in five Championship matches on the wing this season, already beating his total of two in 18 league matches last season. All this for a team that until seven years ago didn’t exist in its present format.
The club were founded in 2009 after an initiative by Red Bull, who purchased the playing right of fifth division side SSV Markranstadt, with an aim of reaching the Bundesliga within eight years. Red Bull came in, bought the club’s license, changed the name, crest and kit.
The 19-year-old is one of the best young talents in English football, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona also sounding out a move according to The Sun.
RB Leipzig have further bolstered their squad before the transfer window closes on Wednesday (31 August) by recruiting highly-rated Scotland global Oliver Burke from English Championship side Nottingham Forest FC.
