Oliver tore his Achilles tendon in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Bridgewater completed 12 of his 16 pass attempts for 161 yards and a touchdown with Stefon Diggs having five of those receptions for 71 yards. They can add thousands more once they get into the regular season, and one would expect it to sell out easily if they can win the NFC North for the second year in a row and get another playoff game.

San Diego starting quarterback Philip Rivers played into the second quarter and audibled into a 39-yard touchdown run by Melvin Gordon. On one play, the Vikings’ offensive line opened up a giant hole and Jerick was able to turn on the jets for a 35-yard gain.

Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson did not play and is not expected to see the field when the Vikings wrap up the preseason Thursday at home against the Los Angeles Rams. Gordon, the Chargers first round pick previous year, is looking to improve after a tough rookie campaign.

Who got hurt? Safety Antone Exum was carted off for X-rays on his leg after he was injured on a first-half kickoff return. Harrison Smith also recorded the first interception in U.S. Bank Stadium history after Trae Waynes helped break up a pass that bounced off Keenan Allen‘s hands. Sullivan didn’t play, because the coaches wanted to evaluate the way Berger played with right guard Brandon Fusco. The team, however, did not announce the severity of the injury. The sold-out crowd of 66,143 was the largest at home in franchise history.
