The ACB gave a questionnaire to Dikshit on Sunday, talking about which, Dikshit said there were 18 questions and that it would take her some time to answer.

Dikshit, however, told the ACB team that she would not be able to reply to the questions immediately and that she needed more time.

Mishra has been accusing the BJP of “shielding” Dikshit in the Rs 400-crore water tanker scam.

On June 20 this year, a FIR was filed against the previous Delhi government led by Sheila Dikshit and the present one led by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The ACB had then said that they would question Dikshit in connection with allegations against her. Dikshit has all along been claiming that there was no corruption at all in procurement of tankers and that the allegations were “politically motivated”. “That is why case is registered against both”, ACB chief Mukesh Kumar Meena was quoted by ANI. ACB had summoned me to its office and I was questioned for over four hours in presence of over a dozen officials. “Four separte cases of corruption are pending against Dikshit and still this kind of fear to act against her. BJP is shielding her and ACB is under pressure to save her”, he added.

In the meantime, Mishra alleged that the ACB’s visit to Dikshit’s residence is a “mere formality” and the ACB is “under pressure” to save the former Chief Minister. Mr Mishra further accused the BJP of “shielding” her and demanded that she be arrested in the ‘400-crore scam. When I asked this question in the Vidhan Sabha, then the facts in the report were concealed while answering my questions.

Ms Dikshit was slated to go to Maharajganj also but she cut short her trip.

While Mishra had filed a complaint with Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi against Dikshit in the scam, Kejriwal’s name was included, on the complaint of Gupta.
