Conor McGregor gets revenge on Nate Diaz with victory at UFC 202
When he left the press conference (not acknowledging a break, but also not denying it), he did so on crutches.

Heading into the final round Diaz was desperately trying for a submission as blood was cleary impacting on his vision, but McGregor had other ideas as he reverted back to his earlier tactics of landing solid leg kicks on his opponent.
McGregor’s injury might not be the only reason. The victory made Aldo the interim featherweight champion, but McGregor isn’t ready to commit to facing the Brazilian fighter. It was a insane back and forth fight and just what the UFC needed to keep their rivalry going. I didn’t get to train.
Conor McGregor avenged his only loss in the UFC with a majority decision victory over Nate Diaz at UFC 202. But I was really pulling for Nate on that fight, [I was] looking forward to it.
The epic fight had twists and turns.
As much as Diaz tried to floor McGregor, he was unable to complete a take down, with the poster boy of UFC reigning supreme.
Now with the score at one each, a final third fight to decide who is top dog is surely in the works. “At least three rounds to two”.
After the fight both men called for a rematch. The welterweight bout was at 170 pounds.
McGregor doesn’t foresee that happening and reckons his belt is safe. Do you think UFC wants their biggest draw participating on the biggest stage?
However the rematch will be on McGregor’s terms after he admitted that going the distance in tonight’s bout was exhausting, McGregor said: “I proved the class difference but that toughness and durability crept in the later rounds”.
But it’d be unfair to talk about the reactions without showing some of the people who thought Diaz won. It seems like he has a hand – or word – in every big-money, combat-related medium. The UFC announced its schedule for the rest of the year, and it includes a date in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in mid-November. McGregor, the reigning 145-pound champion, wants it to take place at 155.

“What would that do to the divison if the guy I KO’d in 13 seconds (Jose Aldo) is champ?” I’m trying to get abs and it’s like f*ck, I can’t get abs.
