Halo 5’s Ninth Free DLC Drop, Anvil’s Legacy, Is Dropping Early September

Both the “Anvil’s Legacy” for the Xbox One and “Halo 5: Forge” for the PC are arriving on the same day, specifically on September 8.
Forge, the level creation tool that lets players build their own worlds and create new game experiences for Guardians, comes to Windows 10 PCs.
What are your thoughts on Anvil’s Legacy and Forge Mode heading to Windows 10 for everyone to use?
On the same day, the ninth free content update for Halo 5: Guardians, Anvil’s Legacy, will be released. The appeven allows users to play custom matches of up to 16 players to test out their creations.
Yesterday, Microsoft announced that Halo 5: Forge app is coming to Windows 10 PCs.
“The Halo app will be the quickest and easiest way to find, download, and launch all Halo games that are available on Windows PCs”, the post reads.
There’s one snag, though it won’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with Microsoft’s first-party software rollouts on PC thus far: you’ll need Windows 10 Anniversary Edition to run it.
Details on the REQs, weapons, and armors were not shared yet, but the official description from Xbox Wire mentions “three new weapons, new Sound Dampener attachments, weapon and armor skins, and more”.
The Halo app will be available for free on the Windows Store on September 8.

One interest footnote about Halo Online is that early in the game’s life, Russian hackers attempted to mod it in order to remove in-game purchases and make it playable in other regions.
