Laurie Hernandez Will Compete on Season 23 of ‘Dancing With the Stars’
Imagine this! We’ve just finished cheering on Laurie Hernandez, 16, at the Rio Olympics, but now we could be rooting for the gymnast on DWTS, according to a new report. Now, it looks like she will be swapping the uneven bars for the dance floor.

Another trophy to add? Last month she told Us, “The thought of it sounds really cool”.
To date, Simone Biles has been the Olympian more heavily rumored to be on the show, but she previously suggested that she may be more up for doing the spring installment over the fall. “We have the tour coming up, so we’ll see what goes on with that, but I love Dancing with the Stars, I watched it all the time when I was little”.
The full DWTS cast won’t be revealed until August 30th on Good Morning America, however, sources have confirmed Derek Hough will be back as pro and his sister Julianne Hough is returning as a judge.
There’s also no word yet on who Hernandez’s pro partner might be, but the internet is collectively hoping that Mark Ballas will return for the honor, after his cryptic tweet to her during the Olympics.
The full cast won’t be revealed until August 30 on Good Morning America (ABC doesn’t comment on casting speculation), but multiple sources have confirmed to ET that Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick, singer-songwriter Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, model Amber Rose, The Fosters actor Jake T. Austin, General Hospital actress Emma Samms and Little Women: LA star Terra Jole will all be joining Hernandez on the dance floor.

Laurie will follow the steps of fellow gymnast Shawn Johnson who competed in season 8 of the reality series in 2009.
