A lot of fans are waiting for the newest season of the “Grey’s Anatomy” series, with a lot of them confused with what to expect of its first episode.

In a report by Christian Times, executive producer Shonda Rhimes shared that season 13 will focus on the show’s original characters, giving rise to the speculation that Christina might have a part in the upcoming season, though possibly just a cameo role. She concluded that most of the time will be being together with the cast.
For Jo and Alex, we spent time during Season 12 seeing how Alex was so patient with Jo but it was a total bummer to see Alex brutalising DeLucca because he misunderstood the situation.
Of course, bringing Oh back to Grey’s Anatomy would be great for the show’s ratings.
After all, the previous season of this show was a cliffhanger and as thus left viewers with more excitement in terms of their favorite characters’ individual relationships. Indeed, a big drama is expected by Caterina Scorsone (Amelia).
However, when it came to the question of whether or not Owen’s (Kevin McKidd) sister could be alive, Rhimes did not intend to reveal much. It will be a main topic of the show and will be interesting up until the end of the season. Not only does this give her a way back to the series, but the rest of the doctors could definitely learn a thing or two from her. According to Scorsone, the Season 13 premiere will pick up immediately after these events and will find the characters scrambling as a new, deeply emotional arc unfolds.
Only four actors that are now on Grey’s Anatomy have been on the show since the very beginning, and it looks like Season 13 is set to focus on them.

Apart from Meredith, Richard, Maggie, Miranda, and Alex, the upcoming season will feature the return of Owen Hunt, April Kepner (Sarah Drew), Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams), and Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw).
