Sam Vokes and Andre Gray scored their first Premier League goals as Burnley stunned Liverpool with a superb 2-0 victory at Turf Moor. The former Borussia Dortmund manager has been urged to buy a new left-back to replace Alberto Moreno, who has been found wanting on a number of occasions, but chose to deploy the England worldwide, who is primarily a midfielder.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he would be “a real idiot” to buy players on the basis of his side’s weekend defeat to Burnley.
Despite dominating possession in Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Burnley and creating numerous chances throughout the match, Klopp’s men were unable to find the back of the net, while also conceding two goals from the only two shots on target their opponents managed.
“We can react better but I saw a lot of good things”.
Klopp told reporters after the match: “We saw the situations coming around the goals”.
The Netherlands global admitted that Jürgen Klopp’s men “expected to create better chances” than they did in East Lancashire, insisting that sometimes they will “have the kind of games that it doesn’t work”. “Losing games are never off-days, but of course we have to take it”, he said. “We were really not good”.

At half time I felt there was still something in the game for us so again we tried but we lost our timing and patience.
He said: “The two [Burnley] strikers, Vokes and Gray, did really well, physically strong guys”. The decision making. We passed the ball, we lost the ball in the wrong moments. We have to accept it.
