The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GoTY patch incoming

CD Projekt RED has experienced a wonderful time since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and they deserved every bit of recognition they got.

Bundling together both the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansion packs – not to mention those 16 pieces of free DLC that were rolled out soon after launch – this is very much the full package for The Witcher 3 fans.

Profit came to $35 million which is down from a year ago ($133 million in revenue and $61.2 million in profit) but then that was the same period where The Witcher 3 first released.

Beyond cleaning up glitches, tomorrow’s large update for The Witcher III is also adding a convenient new feature to the PC version of the game. While Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, and other members of the main cast aren’t getting a makeover, it appears as though Vimme Vivaldi, a dwarf banker in Novigrad, will be “sporting a fresh look”, according to the patch notes.

One thing to know about this version of ‘The Witcher III, ‘ saves will not be compatible between the original version of the game and this GOTY version on the PS4 and Xbox One. If you’ve missed the game so far, now your chance to catch up on one of the years best.

By all accounts, CD Projekt RED seem adamant that The Witcher 3 was the last game in the series (at least for a long while).
