But Serena Williams showed no signs of heartbreak as she hit the stage to present an award at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.

So in a bid to give Rihanna the truly regal celebration she deserves, MTV made a decision to let Rihanna perform multiple times throughout the night.
Most recently, Drake took to Instagram to post a sweet snap of himself appearing to plant a kiss on Rihanna’s cheek after presenting her the prestigious MTV Video Music Award. Instead, she wowed spectators with five center-stage appearances throughout the night. Rihanna is cool. She is calm.
The 34-year-old tennis champion looked stunning as she flashed some serious skin in a tight black dress with cutouts along the front.
He said before giving her the trophy: “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old”. He even pointed to former girlfriend Amber Rose, who was in the audience and is also in the video. “She’s a living breathing legend”. RiRi slayed her way through four of her chart-topping hits, showing off her incredible dance moves and proving why she will be receiving a lifetime achievement award tonight.
Drake revealed that he first met Rihanna in 2005, when she was shooting her “Pon De Replay” video.
Now Drake, who’s believed to be dating Rihanna, is either the world’s most supportive boyfriend or has a side-job in promoting her work because he launched into a gushing speech about her.
“Shout-out to the most handsome, talented woman I’ve ever seen in my life”, he told the crowd after joining Rihanna on stage for their duet, “Work“, at her Manchester, England show. They’re gonna be so proud.

“He’s madly in love with her and is not willing to let her slip away this time”, the insider said of Drake.
