The Redskins lost one player to a failed physical on Monday morning, but gained another when they signed veteran defensive end Cullen Jenkins, the team announced.
The 35-year-old spent the past three seasons with the New York Giants and has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers during his 12-year National Football League career.
In 2013, the Central Michigan product would sign with the New York Giants where he’d spend the next three years.
Jenkins originally entered the National Football League as a college free agent in 2003 with the Green Bay Packers.

Although he’s spent the last few years bouncing around the NFC East, Jenkins is most known for his time with the Green Bay Packers. He once again makes the defensive line a crowded unit. The team this offseason signed free agents Kendall Reyes and Ziggy Hood, and drafted Temple’s Matt Ioannidis in the fifth round. Eleventh-year veteran Kedric Golston appears to be locked in as the starting nose tackle after serving primarily as a backup in recent years.
