Pro-Corbyn union chief suspended by Labour Party
The leader of a pro-Jeremy Corbyn trade union has said he is considering taking legal action against his suspension from the Labour party, a decision that has brought accusations about a “rigged purge” of Corbyn supporters.

However, he faces a similar challenge in Scotland as he does throughout the United Kingdom with the backing of the majority of parliamentarians, but less support amongst the more numerous party grassroots who now favour Mr Corbyn. “A year ago the Labour Party was not committed to an anti-austerity programme”.
Both candidates have already pledged to invest £20 billion in Scotland if they are elected to lead a UK Labour government, and ruled out any kind of “progressive alliance” with the Nationalists.
He was filmed sitting on the floor of a Virgin service to Newcastle on August 11, but the train company later released CCTV images which appeared to show the Labour leader walking past vacant, unreserved seats before he complained on film about crowded carriages.
Mr Corbyn was photographed in a seat on a Virgin service from London Euston to Glasgow ahead of leadership campaign events in Scotland.
He went on: “People did feel that the last Labour government wasn’t radical enough.
I hope Jeremy will support me in such a move”.
But her deputy, Alex Rowley, has previously criticised Labour MPs for attempting to “launch a coup” against Mr Corbyn.

The Bakers’ Union, which has around 19,000 members, is affiliated to Labour.
He said the public spat had helped to publicise Mr Corbyn’s plan to renationalise the railways, and attacked Mr Branson as a “tax exile” who was “laughing all the way to the bank”.
He claimed: “There is creativity in all of us but we need to give people the opportunities for this creativity to flourish”.
It follows claims from shadow chancellor John McDonnell that thousands of members and registered supporters had been reportedly denied a vote without a proper explanation.
Smith joined Corbyn in ruling out any electoral pact with the SNP.
His critics have questioned the lack of policy in his first 12 months as leader and the sudden flurry of activity during the leadership election.
