Clinton campaign, AP battle over story on foundation ties
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said Friday on Morning Joe that she is sure that there are no more unpublished emails that could be damaging to her and her campaign.

An investigative report from the Associated Press found at least 85 of 154 people from private interests who had either face-to-face meetings or telephone conversations with Clinton during her tenure at the State Department donated money directly to the Clinton Foundation or pledged support for its global programs.
The AP’s findings represent the first systematic effort to calculate the scope of the intersecting interests of Clinton foundation donors and people who met personally with Clinton or spoke to her by phone about their needs.
On Monday, the State Department said it was reviewing almost 15,000 previously undisclosed emails recovered as part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation inquiry, which was closed after investigators recommended against criminal charges.
On the list were three executives from organizations that have donated millions to the Clinton Foundation: Bob McCann, the then-president of wealth management at UBS; Dr. Judith Rodin, the president of the Rockefeller Foundation; and Hikmet Ersek, the CEO of Western Union.
“More than half those who met Clinton as Cabinet secretary gave money to Clinton Foundation”.
The fact that Clinton’s lead continues to increase over Trump no matter how much time the press spends on her emails was bad news for a corporate media establishment for whom a blowout presidential election will result in the loss of billions of dollars in potential profits. “Not shocking, but it is disappointing that there were such blurred lines between State Department officials and outsiders”.
Not just any donor though.
“My work is not influenced by outside sources”.
“Hillary Clinton is totally unfit to hold public office”, he said at a rally Tuesday night in Austin, Texas.
Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, a prominent Trump supporter, said Clinton’s acceptance of donations from those seeking her assistance was akin to extortion.
Adam Davidson, who hosts a show for NPR and has written for New York Magazine, also said during an appearance on Slate’s “Political Gabfest” podcast this week, that the Bill and Hillary Clinton-controlled group’s events are “all about buying access”.
Recall. On his last day in office, January 20, 2001, Bill Clinton issued a presidential pardon to financier-crook and fugitive from justice Marc Rich, whose wife, Denise, had contributed $450,000 to the Clinton Library.
To be clear: I have no evidence – none – that Clinton broke any law or did anything intentionally shady. Neither does Donald Trump, and he has called for a special investigation into the Clinton Foundation. It didn’t help when the wire service refused to respond to criticism of the tweet, including a request from the Clinton campaign that it be amended or deleted.
The foundation announced on Monday that it would stop accepting at least some foreign and corporate donations if Clinton wins the presidency and that her husband, former President Bill Clinton, would resign from the foundation’s board. In December that same year, Schwarzman’s wife, Christine, sat at Clinton’s table during the Kennedy Center Honors. The campaign notes that Abraham was also head of the Centre for Middle East Peace at the time and that the meeting had nothing to do with the foundation. If the disgusted Republican voters stay home, it will actually harm down-ticket Republicans, one more irony in the Clinton wars. The meeting occurred before an announcement about a State Department partnership with MAC AIDS to raise money to finance AIDS education and prevention.
