But not only did Clinton describe the foundation’s work as “successful” – she insisted that “it’s been in line with American interests and values”.
She went on to say that neither she nor her husband, former President Bill Clinton, nor their daughter, Chelsea Clinton, has ever drawn a salary from their work with the foundation.
Going forward, the Clintons should sever those ties – even though the foundation bears their names – and make it an independent organization until or unless they are both out of office.

And in a statement to BuzzFeed News, the crown prince claimed he pledged to contribute to the scholarship program long before his meeting with Clinton. The meeting is scheduled for September 19-21, which means it will happen exactly one week before his wife’s first presidential debate in NY.
