Release of Clinton info delayed
Republican lawmakers are pressing the Federal Bureau of Investigation on whether it investigated the State Department’s decision to give security clearances to Clinton’s attorneys and let them store copies of the emails on a thumb drive. But the decision from U.S. District Court Judge William P. Dimitriouleas’ hands a victory to conservative legal watchdog group Judicial Watch, which is pushing for the expedited release of the emails with the clock ticking down to Election Day.

And though Clinton has claimed that she turned over all of her work-related records, the Federal Bureau of Investigation says that a forensic sweep of Clinton’s server led to the recovery of almost 15,000 more documents.
“Hillary Clinton needs to end the stonewalling and either call for their release or release them herself”, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement.
“Voters deserve to know the truth before they cast their ballots”, Miller added.
Donald Trump’s campaign has seized on this as proof the election is part of a “rigged system”.
As a result of a partial response to the news agency’s Freedom Of Information Act requests, the Associated Press reported last week that more than half the people outside the government who met with Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money in some manner to the Clinton Foundation.
A judge on Thursday ordered the U.S. State Department to determine whether it has found any new emails between Hillary Clinton and the White House from the week after the 2012 attack in Benghazi, Libya, and to release any such documents by September 13.
Clinton has denied any wrongdoing.

“Generally speaking, there has been a significant surge in FOIA requests to the State Department in recent years and we are working diligently to respond”, spokesman Elizabeth Trudeau told CNN Friday night, adding that the number of requests has tripled since 2008.
