By Monday, more than 10,000 Syrian refugees will have been accepted into the United States in the 2016 fiscal year, the U.S. Ambassador to Jordan announced Sunday.

Between last October and the end of this September, the U.S.is expected to admit a total of at least 85,000 refugees, Rice said, including from countries like Burma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, El Salvador, Iraq, Somalia, Ukraine, among many others.

Among developed Western countries, the number of refugees received by the U.S. has always been decried as pitiful Germany, for example, has already received more than 1 million refugees.
