South Korea won the 2014 championship against Chicago (who was subsequently stripped of the honor) and avoided a matchup in the global bracket with Japan, who had won three of the last four championships coming into this year.
Michael Mancini was dominant on the mound on Saturday against Goodlettsville.

For a while, it didn’t look like NY hitters would be able to hit anything.
The president congratulated the team on their win, and wished them good luck for Sunday. Over half the roster returned from last season when NY fell to eventual World Series runner-up Red Land in the Mid-Atlantic Region final. Over half of the roster returned for this year’s team.
