This term the lack of transfer activity has been a sore point for fans, but Vieira has pointed out that the style of player the club now have may be affecting Arsenal’s chances of rekindling league successes.

Arsenal followed up that thrilling defeat with a goalless draw with Premier League champions Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening as the Gunners extended their winless run to two games. “You could see that Leicester had some mental qualities that explained why they were champions last year”.
“It just means that when you have responsibilities today, you have to be even stronger, more determined and still be strong enough to do the things you feel are right”. Yes the amount of money being spent is unbelievable, but if Arsenal want to compete amongst the best, then surely we have to act accordingly in turn with what the best do both on the pitch and off the pitch financially.
Speaking after the game Wenger said: “I will spend £300 million if the right player becomes available”. Not to forget as well that we are a club who has 600 employees who we need to have a responsible attitude for as well.
“It’s amusing that we come out of football games and have to speak about money instead of football games”.
“If we can find players who can strengthen our team, we are not reluctant to spend the money”.
Arsenal fans have given Arsene Wenger plenty of stick this past week, firstly over the loss to Liverpool and now the fact that another week has passed and still we see no new faces around the Emirates. “It’s more hard but it still has the same importance to make the right decisions”. He’s English, he’s 20 years old. “That is why everyone is on the market for the same players and very few players as well”. On that front, I believe when you conceded four goals last week we have shown a great defensive performance.
“It’s a team which is well organised and it’s very hard to create chances”.

In his playing days he balanced the beauty of the game with a fiery determination, which often got him into trouble but it was more than worth it as is evidenced by his medal haul. Overall we still lack a little bit in our decision making and in the final ball but that will come.
