Serge Gnabry: Bayern Munich eye swoop for Arsenal attacking midfielder

Arsenal have offered Serge Gnabry a new deal to keep him out of the clutches of Bayern Munich.

The 21-year-old was one of a number of loanees to join the club last season to not be used by the manager.

Despite doubts over his future following his Baggies nightmare, Arsene Wenger claimed Gnabry still has a bright future at the Emirates Stadium. Since joining the Gunners in 2011 from Stuttgart, Gnabry has made 18 for the Gunners, with his last coincidently coming in 2014 against Bayern.

Sky Germany report that Bayern are looking to bring the midfielder back to his homeland and have actually agreed a deal to sign the player permanently, even while Arsene Wenger only initially meant to let the player once again leave on loan. “So I think he’s here now for a long time and it’s important that he stays with us”.

“He went to West Brom, didn’t play, we had to rebuild his confidence”.

He starred at the Olympics for Germany as they narrowly lost out in the gold medal match to Brazil.
