3 inmates escape from detention center in Louisiana

Louisiana jail escape – Authorities were searching on Monday for three prisoners who escaped from a detention center in Louisiana.

According to Natchitoches Parish Chief of Corrections Calvin McFerrin, the three inmates apparently escaped from Dorm “B” at approximately 10:16 p.m., then jumped over two rolls of razor wire fence.

The men are not believed to have been armed at the time of their escape, the sheriff’s office said.

Three inmates, including one being held for attempted murder, escaped from a detention center in central Louisiana over the weekend.

A witness reported the vehicle with Louisiana license plate 240146 missing from a work site Sunday in Natchitoches, roughly 80 miles southeast of Shreveport, according to the sheriff’s office.

Ethridge was imprisoned on one count of attempted second-degree murder and two counts of armed robbery, the release said.

Ethridge is 6 feet tall, weighs 185 pounds, has black hair and has brown eyes. Michael Elliot (right), 24, was sentenced on theft charges.

Two of the men were last seen wearing black sweat trousers and black long-sleeved sweat shirts, while the third was last seen wearing gray sweat trousers and a gray long-sleeved shirt. His term calls for him to remain in prison until 2019.
