This time around, the bad guys are the Burning Legion, the massive demon army that’s driven Azeroth’s misery since World of Warcraft first launched. Will you answer the heroes’ call? While it is uncertain how veteran World of Warcraft fans will feel about the expansion, here are some details of its release.
We look forward to seeing you in the Broken Isles!
A new era of World of Warcraft is upon us. Players also earn and empower Artifact weapons and join Class Halls, new locations where they can hang out with other players from their same class. From new and revamped areas to explore, to a new class to play as (the Demon Hunter), and a bunch of interesting and cool changes to the core game. They also have the ability to do more projected controls, letting them grab people and pull them to one place or silence from a distance, so they have a bit more power projection as opposed to just raw mobility. There will of course be new raids and new instances and new PVP zones that players can check out.

Blizzard no longer reports those numbers, but a new expansion can bring old players back and introduce new ones to the massively multiplayer title.
