Deputy skipper of the team Andre Ayew has offered to purchase tickets for a number of his teammates who will not be in the position to do so according to Spokesperson for the GFA Ibrahim Saani Daara.

The Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association has therefore threatened that top officials of the Association are contemplating of taking a decision to let the nation withdraw from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Coach Avram Grant welcomed back captain Asamoah Gyan from Shanghai SIPG in the 23-man squad, although West Ham’s Andre Ayew will miss the games through injury.

“Since this minister came, I don’t know if we are moving forward or backwards”. “If they want to do that, they want to pay their own airfares, come and play [and] after the match, we will say thank you to them and then they leave, fine!” he added.

“As we speak now, we are thinking of abandoning the game completely”, Sannie Darra told Happy FM.
