Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Season 2 will be all about Kara trying to strike a balance between her role as protector of the city and as an employee at CatCo Worldwide Media.
Season 1 came to an end on April 18, 2016, and its finale has garnered 6.11 million viewers.
After airing its first season on CBS, Supergirl makes the jump to The CW for a season full of new faces and new adventures.
However, fans should rest at ease knowing that the sophomore season will welcome back almost all of its Season 1 cast members including fan-favorite, scene stealer Calista Flockhart.
The second season of “Supergirl” will premiere on Monday, October 10 at 8:00pm on The CW.
As stated in a report from Cinema Blend, J’onn will also have to come to terms with the fact that he is not the very last of his people.

Joining the cast are Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer, Lynda Carter as the as-yet-unnamed President of the United States, and Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. In addition to the aforementioned network swap, the series is also adding a whole bunch of new faces to the lineup in its sophomore outing, the most famous among them none other than Superman himself, who’s being played by Tyler Hoechlin.
