Britney Spears Doesn’t Remember Her First VMAs Performance
Drake, 29, was close to tears when he presented Rihanna, 28, with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

For her final performance of the evening – and to accept the Video Vanguard Award from Drake (who frankly looked sharper than he had a right to in his peak-lapel Tom Ford tuxedo) Rihanna turned out in an Alexandre Vauthier tan silk collared gown with grommet-detailed belt and shoes from the label’s Fall / Winter 2016 Haute Couture collection.
Beyonce has blitzed the MTV Video Music Awards, leaving a stream of Aussie stars in her wake.
“I think I was with ‘NSync when I performed for the first time”, she said while talking on “Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo” on Monday. ‘I think the whole setup was a classroom, and my four main dancers were in the front at their desk and I came out of my locker. The Canadian rapper told the crowd that he had been in love with RiRi since he was 22 years old before praising her talents in the industry. It’s just that, usually, you remember your first. I have no recollection.
“It was so great meeting you last night, @BebeRexha!” she wrote.
She pipped Sia to win Best Female Video for Hold Up.
“Nearly two decades ago, the singer belted out her hit “.Baby One More Time” while the boy band sang “Tearin’ Up My Heart”.
On accepting the award, a smiling Rihanna showed her love for Barbados. Spears performed her hit “Make Me…” and danced slickly, but she didn’t actually sing a word of the song live.
The singer, 34, showed off her increasingly lithe physique in a thigh-skimming semi-sheer dress while purchasing an ice-cream cone from a local vendor.
“That outfit she was wearing made her look like a banana”, one said.

The VMAs joined other high-profile events – like the Summer Olympics, the Academy Awards, the Emmys and the Grammys, which fell to a seven-year low audience – to witness a significant drop in viewership this year.
