Apple has sent out invitations for an event next week, where it is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 7. The media invite simply reads – “See you on the 7th”.
Over the years, Apple has been able to put across attractive consumer base and has sold over 1 billion iPhones since its first launch in 2007 by Steve Jobs. Though the company did not reveal what the keynote will cover, it is highly likely the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will be announced.
The iPhone will likely undergo the biggest transformation, as it is expected Apple is doing away with a traditional 3.5-millimeter headphone jack and include dual speakers and cameras and a back antenna.
After months of speculations over its launch date, iPhone 7 is finally arriving in September.
Apple’s MacBook line is also due for a refresh, the powerful notebook line will probably not get a mention at the September 7th press event.
Of course, the biggest adjustment in terms of usability is expected to be the removal of the headphone jack, which has graced every iPhone and the vast majority of smartphones industry-wide.
With companies like Huawei partnering with Leica to make a new phone with dual lens, Apple will do well to introduce a new model with an improved camera function.
The Apple Watch has a couple of new software features, but is largely the same out-of-date wearable which was much mocked last time Apple tried to launch it. Apple held its World Wide Developers Conference of this year at the same venue, where it announced new versions of its operating systems, including iOS 10, macOS Sierra and watchOS 2.

Furthermore, a capacitive Home button is expected to be favored in place of the physical Home button found in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.
